Ronaldo breaks season scoring record in the Saudi Pro League.
5-time Ballon d’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy expectations even at age 39. He ended his first full season in the Saudi Pro League in style, breaking the record for the most goals in a season. He scored a brace in Al Nassr’s 4-2 win against Al Ittihad on Monday, bringing his tally to 35 for the season, the most single season goals scored in the league. Reacting to this feat, Ronaldo wrote on his social media, “I don’t follow records, the records follow me.” Also in a post game interview, he expressed his happiness for the team finishing well and for breaking the league goal record. He became the first player in history to win the golden boot in four different leagues.
