Max Verstappen wins his fourth consecutive Formula 1 championship.

Dutch driver, Max Verstappen secured his fourth consecutive World Drivers’ Championship with a fifth-place finish at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, as George Russell delivered a stellar performance to lead all 50 laps and claim victory for Mercedes. Russell crossed the finish line 7.093 seconds ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton, earning his second Grand Prix win of the season and the third of his career. Mercedes dominated the weekend, topping all three practice sessions, securing pole position, and taking a one-two finish on the podium. Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz completed the podium in third. Verstappen’s result placed him 64 points clear of Lando Norris, who finished sixth, making his title unassailable with one race remaining. The Dutchman became the third driver to clinch the championship in Las Vegas, joining Nelson Piquet (1981) and Keke Rosberg (1982) in the history books of the Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

Former Real Madrid coach could return to the club if Ancelotti is sacked.

Real Madrid have reportedly informed Santiago Solari that he will take over as head coach if Carlo Ancelotti is sacked during the season, according to Relevo. Ancelotti has faced scrutiny this season after a shaky start, highlighted by a 4-0 defeat to Barcelona in El Clasico. Solari, a familiar figure at Real Madrid, played for the club in the early 2000s and previously served as caretaker manager following Julen Lopetegui’s dismissal in 2018. Despite the speculation, Ancelotti’s side seemed to have steadied the ship with an impressive 4-0 victory over Osasuna before the November international break. The players are reportedly standing behind Ancelotti, whose position appeared at risk had Madrid lost to Osasuna. While the win has eased immediate pressure, the possibility of Solari stepping in remains on the table if results falter again.

10-man Barcelona concede two late goals in their draw against Celta Vigo.

League leaders Barcelona, missing star winger Lamine Yamal, squandered a two-goal lead as Celta Vigo staged a dramatic late comeback to secure a 2-2 draw in Vigo. Celta started brightly, using direct play to trouble Barcelona’s defense, but it was the visitors who struck first. Raphinha, in scintillating form, scored his eighth La Liga goal of the season, skillfully bypassing Oscar Mingueza before beating Vicente Guaita. Three minutes later, Ilaix Moriba nearly leveled with a stunning volley, but Inaki Peña made a fine save. Barcelona doubled their lead on the hour mark when Robert Lewandowski muscled past Carl Starfelt to net his 15th league goal. However, the tide turned eight minutes from time when Marc Casado was sent off for a second yellow card. Alfonso González capitalized on a Jules Koundé error to pull one back, and substitute Hugo Alvarez completed the comeback moments later with a composed finish past Peña.

José Mourinho debunks the ongoing Ronaldo-Fenerbahçe link rumours.

Former Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has dismissed rumors linking Cristiano Ronaldo with a move to Turkish club Fenerbahçe. The Portuguese forward, currently at Al-Nassr, was surprisingly rumored to be heading to the Turkish Super Lig, but Mourinho denied the claims with humor. Speaking at a press conference, Mourinho joked, “Cristiano might visit Istanbul to eat, as it’s halfway between Saudi Arabia and Portugal. Or maybe he’ll take his jet to visit me, and we can dine at my hotel. As for him playing for Fenerbahçe, those spreading this either don’t know what they’re writing or enjoy sharing ridiculous news.” Mourinho coached Ronaldo at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, where the star scored 168 goals and provided 49 assists in 164 games. Together, they won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Supercopa de España during their successful partnership.

Maddison scores a brace as Tottenham gives City their fifth consecutive defeat.

Tottenham stunned Manchester City with a 4-0 Demolition at the Etihad, ending Pep Guardiola’s side’s 52-match unbeaten home run. James Maddison celebrated his 28th birthday with a brilliant first-half brace as the Spurs handed City their heaviest defeat at the Etihad and condemned them to a fifth consecutive loss in all competitions—a career-low for Guardiola. City started brightly but were rocked when Maddison volleyed home Dejan Kulusevski’s cross in the 15th minute. Five minutes later, Maddison capitalized on a Son Heung-min pass to chip Ederson for a second. Pedro Porro added a third in the 52nd minute after a swift counter-attack, while Brennan Johnson sealed the rout in injury time with a tap-in from Timo Werner’s pass. The defeat marked City’s worst home performance since moving to the Etihad in 2003 and leaves Liverpool with a chance to move eight points clear at the top on Sunday.
