Crystal Palace star, Joachim Andersen to make a £30 million move to Fulham.

Fulham have reached a £30 million agreement to sign Joachim Andersen from Crystal Palace. Andersen, who was on Loan at Fulham during the 2020-21 season from Lyon, is now set to finalize personal terms and undergo a medical. Fulham previously had a £20 million bid rejected but continued negotiations with Palace, leading to a breakthrough last night. The 28-year-old defender has made 112 appearances for Crystal Palace since joining from Lyon in 2021. With Andersen’s exit imminent, Palace are already exploring replacements, with Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah and Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix among their targets. Andersen’s departure also casts uncertainty over the future of Marc Guehi at Selhurst Park this summer.

Manuel Neuer announces retirement from international football.

Germany’s iconic goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer has announced his Retirement from international football. Neuer, who won the 2014 World Cup and earned 124 caps, played his final match in last month’s Euro 2024 quarter-final defeat against Spain. His retirement follows those of Ilkay Gundogan, Thomas Muller, and Toni Kroos after the same tournament, where Germany reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated by eventual champions Spain. Neuer, often regarded as the original “sweeper-keeper,” made his international debut in 2009 and participated in eight major tournaments, leaving a lasting legacy in German football. With Neuer stepping down, coach Julian Nagelsmann will need to find a new No. 1, with Barcelona’s Marc-André ter Stegen and Hoffenheim’s Oliver Baumann among the top candidates to take over the role.

Mohamed Salah could potentially leave Liverpool for free next year.

Speculation about Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool continues to grow, with new reports suggesting the Egyptian star might leave the club for free when his contract expires next year. In just over four months, Salah will be eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club. Concerns over Liverpool’s competitiveness in the post-Klopp era, age-related contract issues, and lucrative transfer offers contribute to his hesitation in renewing his deal. Last summer, the Saudi Pro League expressed strong interest, with reigning champions Al-Ittihad reportedly offering a world-record £215 million for Salah, which Liverpool rejected. Since joining in 2017, Salah has been pivotal for the Reds, contributing 300 goal involvements in 350 games and securing major trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League. His potential free departure would be a significant blow to Liverpool, both on and off the field.

Al Hilal is looking to sign Man City wantaway, João Cancelo.

Saudi side, Al Hilal have shifted their focus to Manchester City full-back João Cancelo after learning that Kyle Walker will not be allowed to leave the club this summer, according to ESPN. The Saudi Pro League club is reportedly offering Cancelo a three-year contract worth around £15 million per season. Cancelo, who has been available after spending the last 18 months on loan, was left out of City’s squad for both the Community Shield win over Manchester United and the Premier League opener against Chelsea, despite manager Pep Guardiola hinting at his potential reintegration. Barcelona, where Cancelo spent last season on loan, have shown consistent interest in the Portuguese defender, but their financial difficulties have prevented them from finalizing a deal. With Barcelona unable to secure his return, Al Hilal now appear poised to win the race for Cancelo’s signature.
