Andrés Iniesta commences UAEFA coaching course to become a manager.

Former FC Barcelona midfielder Andrés Iniesta has begun the next chapter of his football career by joining a coaching course in the UAE, just days after announcing his retirement. Iniesta, 40, is enrolled in the UAE Football Association’s program, working towards a coaching license. He recently ended his playing career in the UAE after 20 matches for Emirates FC, following a stint with Vissel Kobe in Japan. Iniesta’s former Barcelona and Spain teammate, Xavi, also started his managerial career in the Gulf, winning the Qatar Stars League before returning to Barcelona. Iniesta’s illustrious playing career includes 131 appearances for Spain, winning a World Cup and two European Championships. At the club level, he secured nine La Liga titles, four UEFA Champions Leagues, and numerous other trophies with Barcelona, before adding honors in Japan, including the J1 League and Emperor’s Cup with Vissel Kobe.
