They have focused on strengthening the regulations of the National Environmental Permitting and Licensing Systems Regulations (2009). The validation workshop held in Abuja emphasised the commitment to enhance the nation’s environmental laws and promote a cleaner, healthier environment for all citizens. The new regulations introduced by Innocent Barikor, head of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA), aim to establish a strong structure for managing actions that harm the environment.
