Ballon d’Or winner, Rodri sparks Real Madrid transfer rumours.

Manchester City midfielder, Rodri has sparked transfer speculation by expressing interest in joining Real Madrid. The Spain international, heavily linked with Los Blancos, revealed in an interview with El Larguero that he would “always listen” to the 14-time European champions, regarding them as “the best club in history.” Reports from The Transfers Podcast suggest Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has instructed officials to pursue Rodri in 2025, with a formal offer expected next summer. Rodri joined City from La Liga’s Atlético Madrid in 2019 but is reportedly open to returning to Spain, despite his ties to Real’s fierce rivals. With two years left on his contract by summer 2025, Manchester City is keen to extend his deal. The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner is currently recovering from an ACL injury but hopes to return before the Club World Cup next year.
