During this time, over 70,000 deaths were recorded, resulting in a huge investment in social awareness and facilitation of adaptation paradigms to protect the population. The 2022 summer was recorded as the hottest across Europe. However, new studies are indicating that this summer might be a lot worse. With the huge number of heat-related deaths recorded last year, this summer could be a lot more life-threatening, except more viable paradigms to controlling this excess is implemented immediately.
