First trailer for Tom Cruise’s eighth Mission Impossible film has been unveiled, revealing the official name, The Final Reckoning. Originally set as “Part Two” to 2023’s Dead Reckoning, the film will now debut on May 23, 2025, after several delays due to the pandemic and the SAG-AFTRA strike. In the action-packed trailer, Cruise’s character, Ethan Hunt, faces off against an AI threat called The Entity while exploring a wrecked submarine, flying a biplane, and performing high-stakes stunts.
