Rema dominates with 5 nominations at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Dubbed Prince of Afrobeats, Rema has had a phenomenal all round year, especially with his hit song, “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez. The song which spend over a year on Billboard Top 100 charts, peaking at number three on the chart, has seen Rema clinch numerous international awards, including the BET awards. The Mavin Records signee has again dominated the newly announced iHeartRadio Music awards, with five nominations including Song of the year, best African music act and best new act (pop). Wizkid and Burna Boy are also nominated in the Best African Music act category.

Nigerians have raised concerns over the widespread of false allegations from online bloggers and it seems the Police force are now involved in curbing this menace. Popular social media blog, Gist lover were allegedly arrested last week and Ex Big Brother Naija star, Alex Unusual has raised her voice over the harm that the false allegations from Gist Lover in 2021, caused her brand. In 2021, she was alleged to be having affairs with married men, including popular comedian, AY. Talking about the situation, she noted that she lost numerous deals due to the false allegations. Nigerians are calling for these online bloggers to be checked, in a bid to curb the menace of widespread false allegations.

Ckay announces new two pack EP set to be released next week.
Global superstar, Ckay has enjoyed global limelight since his “Love Nwantiti” received international acclaim in 2020. Since, he has released more hits including “Watawi” and “Emiliano”. Since he released the deluxe of his album last year, he has gone on a long hiatus. In a new social media post, Ckay has just announced that he will be releasing a new 2-pack EP which will be released in the next seven days. Fans have since shown elation following the potential return of the Afro-Emo artist.
