Afrobeats star, Joeboy has emerged as one of the genre’s most streamed artists since his breakout in 2019. He has churned out hit songs consistently , etching his place as one of the biggest new school artiste in Africa. His hit song, “Sip (Alcohol)” is the latest record to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. He is now the eleventh Afrobeats artiste to surpass the 100 million mark on the streaming platform.

Kid Cudi reveals why Juice WRLD will not be on his “INSANO” deluxe.
American rapper, Kid Cudi has revealed why posthumous collaboration with Juice WRLD will not be featured on the deluxe version of his album, “INSANO”. In a series of posts via Twitter on Friday, Cudi revealed that the hugely anticipated collaboration would not be released because Juice WRLD’s team never got back to him. Afterwards, he shared an already deleted screenshot from Juice WRLD’s former manager, Peter Jideonwo, where he confirmed that the song was cleared but cannot be released until Juice WRLD’s posthumous album, “The Party Never Ends”. Kid Cudi has since revealed he was never aware of this information.

Popular American rapper and YouTuber, DDG has welcomed a child with Hollywood superstar, Hailey Bailey. Despite fans’ continued speculations about Halle’s pregnancy, the couple continued to push back against these narratives. However, “The Little Mermaid” actress has just taken to Instagram to confirm the birth of her son, sharing a photo of the baby’s hand with his name, Halo, inscribed in a gold bracelet, with the caption “even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was being me a son… the world is desperate to know you.” DDG also captioned the same photo as his biggest blessing by far.

Young American actress, Stormy Reid is the latest to clinch the acclaimed Emmy Award for the Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series for her role in the acclaimed HBO series, “The Last of Us”. In total, the HBO series stole the show with eight total awards, including Nick Offerman winning the Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series category. “The Last of Us” also clinched wins for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, VFX, Sound Editing and Mixing, as well as Picture Editing in a series.

SZA vows to take legal actions against people leaking her music.
Months after SZA criticized people leaking her songs for ruining her music in an interview with Variety, the RnB artiste has decided to take legal actions against anyone involved in stealing her songs and leaking them online. In a post via X, the 34-year old singer vented her frustration at the constant targeted leak of her intellectual properties, whilst promising to pump in maximum efforts to holding these people accountable. Leaking songs have been one of the biggest issues within the global music industry and music heads must now come together to curb this menace.
