Multiple Emmy Award winner, Jeremy Allen White is set to star in, and executive produce a Netflix limited series based on André Aciman’s novel Enigma Variations. The series, currently in development, marks the second adaptation of Aciman’s works after the critically acclaimed film Call Me by Your Name. The film, starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer, received multiple Oscar nominations, with James Ivory winning for best adapted screenplay. Enigma Variations explores the life of Paul, whose passions and attachments, from adolescence to adulthood, remain deeply consuming. The story will span locations like southern Italy, New England, and New York, focusing on Paul’s complex relationships. Amanda Kate Shuman will write and serve as showrunner, while Oliver Hermanus will direct and executive produce. Aciman, White, and Media Res are also executive producers.
