Kanye West previews new song, “Beauty and the Beast” on Instagram.
Highly acclaimed hip hop artist, Kanye West has teased his upcoming solo album Bully with a snippet of a new track titled “Beauty and the Beast,” marking his first solo project since 2021’s Donda and since his controversial comments in 2022. Ye shared a live video of the track on Instagram, following its initial preview at a listening party in Haikou, China. The song, featuring a soulful production and a sample of The Mad Lads’ “Don’t Have to Shop Around,” highlights Ye’s signature sound. Bully will be Ye’s first solo album not released under Def Jam, and reports suggest it will be a concept album, fully self-produced. Kendrick Lamar makes history with eight BET Hip Hop Award wins.
Compton rapper, Kendrick Lamar dominated the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, taking home eight awards, including Song of the Year and Artist of the Year. The rapper, who was nominated for 11 awards, made history by becoming the first artist to win eight in one night. His diss track “Not Like Us” was a standout, winning Song of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video, and Impact Track.
