Jimmy Odukoya named new General Overseer of Fountain of Life church.

A month after the death of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder and senior pastor of Fountain of Life church, his son, Jimmy Odukoya is set to take over as the new general overseer of the church officially from September 30. Jimmy, who is an actor and a pastor, has also assumed the office of the church’s Chairman of Board of Trustees, as announced by the church. This news has caused an uproar from various social media users who feel that the church is being ran as a business organization.

Ondo State Commissioner for women’s affairs assaulted over palliatives.

The distribution of palliatives to cushion the impacts of the fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians has not been the best experience across most states in the country. In a recent video, the Ondo State Commissioner for Woman Affairs, Dr. (Mrs) Olubunmi Osadahun was attacked and assaulted whilst distributing palliatives at the Arigidi Aroko area of the state by a man yet to be ascertained. Eyewitnesses reported that the attacker had claimed that the distribution process was secretly shrouded by the government officials, while angrily attacking the commissioner who has now been hospitalized.
