House of the Dragon season 3 to commence filming early in 2025.
Filming for House of the Dragon season 3 is set to begin in early 2025 and conclude by late fall, as revealed by showrunner Ryan Condal on The Stuff Dreams Are Made Of podcast. While Condal has not disclosed an exact start date, he teased that the upcoming season will be the “best” and most “outlandish” yet. Following season 2’s mixed reception and a controversial finale, season 3 will continue the Targaryen power struggle. With production wrapping in late 2025, the release is expected by summer 2026, mirroring the long gap between earlier seasons. Season 2 pushed boundaries with shocking moments, including a child’s brutal murder in the premiere and Aemond’s betrayal of King Aegon II in episode 4. To outdo these events, season 3 promises even higher stakes, keeping fans eager despite the extended wait.
