Paramount Pictures has announced the cast for Gina Prince-Bythewood’s adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s YA novel, Children of Blood and Bone. The film, set for January 15, 2027, stars Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris, and Tosin Cole. The supporting cast includes Viola Davis, Cynthia Erivo, Idris Elba, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. The story follows a young woman and her brother as they seek to reclaim magic stolen by a ruthless king in an African fantasy kingdom. Nominees for Best Original Song will not perform at this year’s Oscars.
