Scarlett Johansson confirms she will not be returning as Black Widow.
Hollywood actress, Scarlett Johansson has officially moved on from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and wants fans to do the same. In a March 11 InStyle interview, the actress, 40, reiterated that her character, Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), is gone for good. “She is dead. She’s dead. Okay?” she emphasized, urging fans to accept her universe-saving sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame (2019). She will next appear in The Phoenician Scheme (June 6) and Jurassic World: Rebirth (July 2). Meanwhile, the MCU continues with Thunderbolts (May 2) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (July 25).

Disney reportedly cancels Snow White premiere after huge controversy.
Facing intense backlash over its upcoming live-action Snow White, Disney has opted for a scaled-down Los Angeles premiere, Variety reported on March 11. Instead of its usual grand event, the studio will host a low-key pre-party and screening at the El Capitan Theatre on March 15. Stars Rachel Zegler, 23, and Gal Gadot, 39, will not participate in a traditional red carpet with extensive media coverage. Instead, Disney has reportedly selected only a few photographers and an in-house crew for the event. Controversy has surrounded the film, including Zegler’s past criticism of the original Snow White and speculation that Gadot’s pro-Israel stance may also be a factor. Additionally, Disney’s decision to replace the seven dwarfs with diverse “magical creatures” has drawn criticism, with some accusing the studio of being overly “woke.” Snow White, directed by Marc Webb, is set for release on March 21 amid ongoing debates over its casting and creative choices.

Anika Noni Rose expresses disappointment at Disney scraping TIANA mid production.
After Disney cancelled its long-anticipated Tiana series, The Princess and the Frog star, Anika Noni Rose has come out to address her disappointment. In a heartfelt Instagram post on March 5, Rose expressed gratitude for the support she received while acknowledging the efforts of writer-director Joyce Sherri, producer Jenn Lee, and the animation and music teams. The Tiana series, originally announced in 2020, was envisioned as a musical featuring Rose reprising her role. However, due to high production costs, Disney shelved the project, shifting focus to short-form content. Instead, a Tiana special, directed by Sherri and Stephen Anderson, is now in development. Rose urged fans to tune in when it airs, emphasizing that strong viewership could influence future projects. Beyond the series, Rose continues her deep connection with Tiana, having voiced the character in Ralph Breaks the Internet, contributed to Disney Parks’ Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and authored the children’s book Tiana’s Perfect Plan.

The first trailer for Stan Lee’s documentary, Stan Lee: The Final Chapter released.
In the final years of Stan Lee’s life, filmmaker Jon Bolerjack became a constant presence, capturing both cherished moments and troubling realities of the legendary comic book writer and producer. His upcoming documentary, Stan Lee: The Final Years, is however set to unveil the darker side of Lee’s inner circle, exploring allegations of elder abuse and manipulation. Bolerjack, who followed Lee to conventions and movie premieres, documented how the Marvel legend’s declining health was exploited for financial gain. The film revisits Lee’s 2018 restraining order against former business partner Keya Morgan, who was later arrested for manipulating the aging icon. Bolerjack’s footage reveals how Lee’s public appearances were monetized, with profits from autographs and memorabilia rarely reaching him. Seeking to complete the project, Bolerjack has launched a Kickstarter campaign, emphasizing the need for greater protection of aging icons. The documentary serves as both a tribute and a cautionary tale, ensuring that Lee’s mistreatment is not forgotten while advocating for dignity in an icon’s final years.
