Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar have declined headlining Coachella 2025.
Reports indicate that both Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar have declined offers to headline Coachella 2025, leaving the festival still searching for top acts. Bloomberg revealed that Paul Tollett, CEO of Goldenvoice and co-founder of Coachella, has been actively seeking headliners since this year’s festival concluded in April. The event has faced challenges, including pandemic closures and disappointing ticket sales, with the 2024 edition marking the slowest sales in a decade. Tollett hoped to secure big names like Lamar, who has a strong festival history, and Rihanna, one of pop’s biggest stars with a highly anticipated new album. While no official reasons for their declines have been given, Lamar appears focused on other plans for next year, and Rihanna has shifted her attention to family and business ventures, though a tour is reportedly in the works.
