The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has just announced the nominees for its class of 2024 for their exceptional music careers. Surprisingly, most of the 15 nominees which range from pop artists to Rockstar’s that are first timers. This list includes Mariah Carey, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne and Peter Frampton. Late singer-songwriter, Sinead O’Connor is also joined by Foreigner, Kool and the Gang, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis and Sade Adu are also among the nominees for the coveted award.

Killer Mike responds to angry comments regarding his Grammys win.
Hip Hop artist, Killer Mike was one of the biggest winners at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony, with a clean sweep across the rap categories. Winning the Best Rap Album of the year with his “Michael” ahead of Travis Scott’s “Utopia” however caused an angry narrative on social media, with many feeling like the latter was more deserving based off people not knowing who he is. Killer Mike has however responded to the criticisms, noting that there is a wide spectrum of art if listeners are willing to get curious and dig deeper.
Killer Mike responds to the people that are upset that he won the Grammy for Best Rap Album because they don’t know who he is:

Drake and Travis Scott reportedly planning to tour Europe this year.
Drake is presently on his “The Big As the What?” United States tour with J.Cole and new rumours are emerging about a potential European tour with Travis Scott. Although this is yet to be verified by any official source close to any of the rappers, fans on social media are convinced that it would be one of the biggest tours of all times if actualized. One social media user even wrote, “if this Drake and Travis tour rumour is real, my bank account is going to be finished”. We expect entourages from the duo to confirm this rumour soon.

Taylor Swift set to make her film directorial debut after her tour.
Pop star, Taylor Swift is set to make her full film directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures for a script originally written by her. The script will be produced by the Oscar-winning production studio which worked on “Nomadland” and “The Shape of Water”. The casting and other details of the film are being discussed and kept confidential but the filming will start after Swift’s Eras tour, which will end on December 8th.

Little Simz releases new studio EP, “Drop 7” after sophomore album.
British rapper, Little Simz has just released a new studio project, “Drop 7”, the latest of her extended projects which comes two years after “Drop 6” and her sophomore album, “No Thank You” which was released in 2022. This EP includes 7 tracks which runs through 14 minutes and is produced by Jakwob. Since its release, fans have taken to social media to hype the project as one of the most informed rap project released this year.
