American singer and songwriter, Katy Perry has hinted at possibly releasing new music this summer, triggering excitement among fans. Earlier this year, the pop singer had revealed that this season would be her last with American Idol, causing many to believe this was a move to focus on her music career. She also missed the MET Gala, revealing to fans via an Instagram post that she was working. However, Katy Perry seems ready to release a new single, her first since 2021. In a recent TikTok comment, she wrote, “this summer I’m gonna POP OFF” with emojis of musical notes.

Nicki Minaj arrested in Amsterdam for possession of illicit drugs.
Barely days after kicking off her European tour, Hip hop star, Nicki Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam on Saturday for possession of drugs. In a now viral footage, the rapper was seen denying the possession of any contraband. As a result, Nicki was forced to postpone her Manchester concert. Nicki Minaj has gone on to post a number of videos, live-streaming some of her conversations with the Amsterdam police. She also wrote, “keep in mind they took my bags without my consent. My security has already advised them those pre-rolls belong to him.” A Dutch official on X has however revealed that she has been released and slapped with a fine.

Hollywood star, Giancarlo Esposito has revealed that he has reached an agreement to join the MCU for a yet-to-be-known role. During a panel discussion at CCXP24, he disclosed that MCU had knocked on his door for an unpredictable role, noting that “I cannot promise you it’ll be Professor X, because here’s what I think. I think that there’s something original. We’ve seen different versions of Professor X, wouldn’t you like to see me play a character in a Marvel movie who is original, and new, and fresh?
