FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed the news following a conference in Dallas, announcing that the show, in partnership with Global Citizen, will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19, 2026. “I want to thank Chris Martin and Phil Harvey of Coldplay, who will work with FIFA to finalize the list of artists performing at the halftime show and in Times Square,” Infantino stated. The 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, is already drawing attention amid geopolitical tensions. Coldplay, who headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2016, bring valuable experience to the project. Meanwhile, Martin recently hinted that the band’s latest album, Moon Music, could be among their final releases.

A new trailer for anticipated comedy series, Mid-Century Modern has been released.
Hulu has released the trailer for Mid-Century Modern, the highly anticipated comedy from Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, marking Linda Lavin’s final role before her passing in December. Produced by Ryan Murphy, the multi-cam series premieres on March 28 and follows three aging gay men who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years together in Palm Springs. The wealthiest of the trio, Bunny Schneiderman, lives with his mother, played by Lavin, as they navigate life as a chosen family. The show stars Nathan Lane as Bunny, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank, and Andrew Rannells as Arthur Broussard, with guest appearances from Pamela Adlon, Vanessa Bayer, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and more. Director James Burrows, who helmed the pilot, also serves as executive producer.
