Since Hilda Baci took the giant stride and putting Nigeria on the global map with her 93+ hours cook-a-thon, numerous Nigerians have come out to declare their intentions of vying for these records. Whether this has been overstretched to become a circus show, we would never fully understand. However, an individual named Sugartee in Ekiti State declared his intention to inscribe his name on history books, enacting a kissing marathon for 72 hours. The Ekiti State government has since decided to ban this activity from happening in the state.

Spotify releases the list of top ten global Afrobeats artistes.
One of the biggest music streaming platforms, Spotify, has been on a rollout with their announcements of the top artistes and songs on the platform, across the different genres. After releasing the list of the biggest Afrobeats songs, a new list for the top global Afrobeats artistes on platform has been released. This list rates Burna Boy, Wizkid and Rema as the top three global Afrobeats artistes of all time on the platform. Other names in the list includes Ckay, Tems, Davido, Arya Starr Fireboy, Omah Lay and Amaarae.

Last summer witnessed one of the hottest transfer moments after Real Madrid submitted €200 million bid for Kylian Mbappe. In fact, the PSG star and France international had the global football audience on their toes, as everyone waited for his decision. César Azpilicueta leaves Chelsea for Atletico Madrid on free transfer.
Spain international, César Azpilicueta, has decided to leave Chelsea after eleven years and nine trophies with the Premier League side. The long serving defender and former captain, will head back to Spain, to sign with Atletico Madrid on a one year deal. The defender made over 500 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 17 goals and winning every available club trophy. Chelsea’s Chairman, Todd Boehly has praised the defender for leaving an everlasting mark at the team, as a warrior, champion and legend.
