Now, Nigerian rappers are collaborating with global superstars. After featuring Ludacris on his hit song, “Cinderella Girl”, Blaqbonez is set to collaborate with hip hop legend, Rick Ross for a new rap single. Rick Ross took to his Instagram story to play a snippet of the song, tagging Blaqbonez. While it is unsure when this song will be released, fans have expressed great happiness at the current trajectory of Nigerian rap.

Shallipopi signs a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing UK.
Nigerian superstar, Shallipopi rose to fame after the release of his 2023 hit, “Elon Musk”. Wizkid’s “Superstar” album re-enters the top 10 on Apple Music NG chart.
Perhaps, Afrobeats most impactful album, Wizkid’s “debut album, “Superstar” has been highly acclaimed as one of the genre’s classic albums. Housing numerous hit songs, the 2011 album launched Wizkid to superstardom and inspired many Nigerian artists including Davido. On Wednesday, Wizkid was joined by many fans celebrating 13 years since the release of the classic album, causing the album to make a re-entry into the top 10 of the Apple Music Nigeria chart. The project has now set the record for the oldest album to make a comeback into the top 10 on the chart.
