Jay-Z calls out Grammy Awards for Beyoncé’s album of the year snub.
Hip-Hop legend and business mogul, Jay-Z has vehemently called out the Grammy Awards for their consistent decisions of snubbing Beyoncé in the coveted album of the year category. Whilst accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Awards at the 66th Grammy event, he appealed to the organization to start getting it right, citing DMX’s not being nominated despite having two acclaimed albums as a major reason for boycotting the event in 1998 and Beyoncé, his wife, despite being the most honoured recipient of the award and never winning any album of the year category. This has sparked huge rumours online, with many social media users believing this to be a jab at Taylor Swift.
