New mandatory dress rules at OAU that has everyone talking.

Nigerian institutions have a reputation for enacting strict moral codes and values on its students. While this is good in shaping the moral convictions of the students, some of these rules tend to be overly extreme. A social media post recently shared a screenshot of the new dress codes enacted by the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for the new session and the sanctions. The new rule will now see students rusticated for a semester for dread locks, ripped jeans, multicolored braids for females, rumpled clothes and unconventional wearing of face caps. Many social media users have criticized the school for these extreme rules.

The issue of palliatives distribution in Nigeria continues to be ravaged by massive corruption. While Nigerians suffer, delegated officials mismanage the palliatives meant to help the citizens through this economic crisis. Oppenheimer joins the top five highest grossing R rated movies.

Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has been doing amazing numbers in the box office since its release last month. Despite being released on the same day as Barbie, the movie has done astronomically well economic wise, as the second highest grossing movie of the year, after Barbie. Oppenheimer has now joined the top five highest grossing R rated movies, with a total of $777.2 million. Only Joker and the Deadpool franchise have grossed more than Oppenheimer.
