Widely acclaimed as one of the biggest Nigerian classic albums, Burna Boy’s “African Giant” stamped his imprint in the African entertainment scene as one of the greatest in the game. The 2019 released project was well received globally, clinching a Grammy award nomination. The album has just been certified platinum in France for the sale of 100,000 units, becoming the highest certified album by a Nigerian in the region. Oxlade’s hit single, “Ku Lo Sa” also received a SNEP Diamond for over 50,000,000 units sold in the country.

“Anyone But You” grosses over $200 million in the global box office.
Popular romcom, “Anyone But You” has received grey reviews since its debut in the cinemas. The movie, directed by Hollywood star, Sydney Sweeney which carried a $25 million production budget has just grossed over $200 million in the global box office. The movie, which features Sweeney and Glen Powell, grossed over $87 million and $104 million in the domestic and international box office respectively. It is without a doubt, one of the highest grossing film released rom coms, surpassing “Crazy Rich Asians”.

P Diddy is being sued by a former producer for alleged sexual assault.
After settling lawsuit with singer, Cassie, Sean Combs popularly known as P Diddy is being sued again by one of his former producers, Rodney Jones. Jr., who is also known as Lil Rod. The charges include allegations of sexual assault, grooming and improper payment for his work on “The Love Album: Off the Grid”. Lil Rod worked on nine songs in the new album. In the 73-page lawsuit, Diddy was accused of trying to groom the producer to indulge in sexual activities with other men, assuming control over him by promising awards and fame.

TikTok begins removing songs published by Universal Music Group.
After failing to find a new agreement with Universal Music Group on contract issues like artificial intelligence generated music and artist compensation, TikTok has commenced removing audio catalogues published by the label from its platform. This will include songs from global artists like BTS, Doja Cat, BLACKPINK, Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Rema and Lil Nas X. In fact, music experts are predicting that over 80 % of the total music in the platform might be removed in the process.
