Lionsgate has announced that Michael, the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic directed by Antoine Fuqua, will now be released in theaters on October 3, 2025, six months later than the originally planned April 18 date. The film stars Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, in the title role, with Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo in supporting roles. Michael is directed by Fuqua from a script by John Logan, with production led by Graham King, John Branca, and John McClain. King, known for producing Bohemian Rhapsody, aims to capture Jackson’s life with an extensive runtime featuring 30 of his iconic songs. Footage from the film was shared at CinemaCon in April, where it generated significant buzz. Jackson, famous for hits like “Beat It,” “Thriller,” and “Billie Jean,” passed away in 2009 at the age of 50.

Top Dawg Entertainment rapper, Ab-Soul has unveiled the tracklist for his new album Soul Burger, packed with powerful collaborations. The lyrical artist shared the news on social media on November 5, just days before the album’s release on Friday. Spanning 15 tracks, the album features appearances by Lupe Fiasco, Vince Staples, Doechii, JID, Ty Dolla $ign, Blxst, and TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson. It also includes a posthumous appearance from Ab-Soul’s friend Armon “Doe Burger” Stringer, whose passing in 2021 inspired the album.
