New Real Madrid youngster, Arda Gülar has been ravaged by injuries since signing for the La Liga giant from Fenerbahçe in the summer. The young midfielder suffered a meniscus and muscle injury, leading to his withdrawal from Real Madrid’s preseason squad. Expected to make his official debut last month, Gülar suffered another injury in training. However, new reports from Madrid are indicating that the Turkish international has now returned to training and will be in contention to make his official Real Madrid debut against Sevilla on Saturday.

Nigeria wins first friendly game in five years with Mozambique victory.
After the 2-2 draw against Saudi Arabia on Friday, Nigeria has defeated Mozambique 3-2 to secure their first friendly win in the last five years. Mozambique took the lead early in the seventh minute, raising fears about the Super Eagles’ friendly form. Goals from Simon Moses, Frank Onyeka and Terem Moffi were enough to help the Super Eagles break their winless run in the friendlies.
