Oscar Award winning actor, Robert Downey Jr. is making a dramatic return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Doom, the iconic Fantastic Four villain. He will take on the role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, slated for release in May 2026, and Avengers: Secret Wars, set to premiere in May 2027. Joe and Anthony Russo will direct both films, marking their return to Marvel as well. Tom Cruise receives prestigious honour from France’s Minister of Culture.
Hollywood superstar, Tom Cruise was honoured as a Knight of Honour by France’s Culture Minister, Rachida Dati, in Paris on Saturday, joining an elite group of artists, actors, and filmmakers, including Robert Redford, Martin Scorsese, and Clint Eastwood, who have received this prestigious award. Cruise, who is currently filming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” in Europe, received the honour just hours before the Olympics 2024 opening ceremony.
