Kendrick Lamar dishes disses to J.Cole and Drake in new feature.
The newly released Metro Boomin and Future joint album, “We Don’t Trust You” has given the hip hop world one of its biggest moments in a while. Making an uncredited appearance on one of the tracks, “Like That “, Kendrick Lamar steals the spotlight, sending a series of disses to Drake and J. Cole. Addressing some of the lines off Drake and J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter”, K-Dot refers to Drake’s best project as a “light pack”. Responding to J. Cole’s “big three” claim, where he refers to himself, Kendrick and Drake as hip hop’s top league, Kendrick Lamar notes that it’s just “the big me”. Hip Hop fans have expressed great excitement, hoping that this triggers responses and high-quality rap records from the trio.

Cillian Murphy will return for sequel movie for “Peaky Blinders”.
Whilst Cillian Murphy has become a household name to some with the global success of Oppenheimer which won him his first ever Academy award, many have revered the Irish actor for starring in acclaimed TV series, Peaky Blinders. After the series wrapped up two years ago, a spin-off movie is set to be produced for the acclaimed show and the creators of the show have confirmed that Cillian Murphy is in for the spin off. Steven Knight, during the premiere of his new show, “This Town”, confirmed that the Peaky Blinders’ spin off is coming and will feature Cillian. The filming will commence later in September.

Spider-verse short film, “The Spider Within” to release exclusively on YouTube.
Popular Marvel Spider-Man animation is predicted to delay its next release, “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider Verse” until mid 2025 but fans can however expect a short film, “The Spider-Man Within” which is set to be released on March 27 exclusively on YouTube. This film will dive into a new Miles Morales journey, where he faces a new foe – Anxiety. Reports suggest that Collider, Miles will not face any supervillain in this short film but the overwhelming struggle to balance his responsibilities as the neighbourhood Spider-Man, a friend, a student and teenager.

ODUMODUBLVCK teases new collaboration with Nigerian legend, 2Baba.
After the success of his 2023 released debut album, “Eziokwu”, Nigerian rapper, ODUMODUBLVCK is set to continue this dominance this year. The “Declan Rice” crooner has been pictured in the studio with some of the country’s finest artists including Burna Boy, Wizkid and Rema. He has just taken to his X account to tease a collaboration with Nigerian music legend, 2Baba. Whilst there is no official announcement as to when this song will be released, fans are hopeful that it will be dropped soon.

Warner Bros to expand its Anime production to 10+ series yearly.
Popular production company, Warner Bros Discovery has revealed plans to significantly increase its production of Japanese anime in its local studio in Japan. Anime has become one of the biggest markets in the entertainment industry globally and the company looks resolved to further invest in this market. Warner Bros’ Asian-Pacific President, James Gibson disclosed that while the company’s local studio has been producing at least five anime series yearly, there are plans to extend these production to more than ten per year.
Warner Bros plans to expand their production of anime to more than 10 series per year.
