As Wizkid prepares to create history with his Tottenham Hotspur Stadium concert, his smash hit single, Joro has now surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, making it one of the few Nigerian songs to cross this milestone. The song, which was released in 2019, accentuated one of Wizkid’s shift to an experimental level and received a plethora of praise across the world. In fact, fans expected the track to be added as one of the promotional tracks for Wizkid’s Made in Lagos. Regardless, Joro continues to enjoy huge spins globally.

Matt Damon reveals huge loss acquired by turning down “Avatar” role.
“Avatar” remains the biggest movie of all times, based on total earnings. The movie has grossed over $2.9 billion since its release. Perhaps, it is no secret that Matt Damon was first offered to play the lead role in the movie which he rejected before being offered to Australian actor, Sam Worthington. However, Matt, has in a recent interview, revealed that he lost about $250 million for rejecting the role. He revealed that he was offered a certain portion of the movie’s profit to play the lead role. What a huge profit Matt Damon would have accrued.

Canadian singer and songwriter, The Weeknd has been a huge figure in contemporary pop music, most prominent for his style and art reinvention. Hailed as the future of urban pop music, he became the first global artiste to surpass 100 million Spotify listeners. He has again recorded 160,000 attendants for his just concluded show in Milan. In context, this number is in fact more than the entire three day Coachella festival (125,000), which is regarded as the biggest music festival in America and one of the biggest in the world. Super Falcons stun Australia to go top of Group B table.
Nigeria’s Super Falcons have continued their unbeaten record in the 2023 Women’s World Cup, after beating former group leader, Australia in a five goals thriller. Despite injury concerns for the team’s superstar, Asisat Oshoala, the team was able to come back from Australia’s opener to secure a 3-2 win over the competition’s co-host. With this win, Nigeria is top of group b, same point as Canada. They will now require only a draw to automatically qualify to the competition’s round of 16.
