Morocco records over 1000 deaths in latest Marrakech earthquake.
Morocco has just recorded one of the most devastating earthquakes in its history. With a magnitude of about 6.8, with several lives lost and properties have been damaged. Updated reports from the country suggests that about 1300 people have died, mostly within the Marrakech and other five provinces close to the epicenter. Whilst evacuations are being enacted, Morocco has declared a three day national mourning period for the victims of this tragedy, with flags set to be flown at half mast. Prayers are up for Morocco!

Germany stuns USA to qualify for the FIBA tournament’s final.
Despite being the major contender, USA aspiration for gold in the 2023 FIBA World Cup came to an end on Friday, after Germany stunned them to a 113-111 loss in the tournament’s semi finals on Friday. Germany’s heroics in the third quarter saw them outscore USA 35-24, giving them an important 10 point lead before the fourth quarter. This is the second consecutive World Cup tournament that USA has failed to reach the finals They will settle for a third place battle against Canada while Germany will face Serbia in the finals, both games on Sunday.
