Manchester United started their tour on a really bright side, playing good football, integrating youth players and winning their games against Lyon, Leeds and Arsenal. However, the team has recorded back to back loses to Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund to end their preseason tour. The team lost 2-0 to Real Madrid and another 3-2 loss to Dortmund. Despite these losses, Man United’s coach, Eric ten Hag says the team is detecting problems and working on resolving them as they prepare for the start of a new Premier league season.

Chelsea crowned first champions of the Premier League Summer Series.
The premier league enacted its first ever preseason summer series, a friendly tournament hosted in the United States. This tournament involved 6 premier league teams – Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton, Fulham, Newcastle and Aston Villa. These teams were scheduled to play three matches each. Chelsea went unbeaten in the competition, winning two of their three games and claiming a draw against Newcastle. With seven points, Chelsea topped the table, becoming the first winner of the PL summer series tournament, with Aston Villa and Newcastle coming close as second and third with five points each. Pochettino’s side will be looking to re enact this form as the new premier league season starts in two weeks time.
