The two most anticipated movies this year, Barbie and Oppenheimer have recorded a huge first weekend ticket sales. Both movies, which were coincidentally scheduled to be released on the same day, sparked numerous opinions from internet users, who felt that the purchase power of one was bound to affect the other. Both movies were released in the cinemas this weekend and contrary to the reservations of many internet users, the movies seem to have enjoyed a huge worldwide opening weekend ticket sales. Barbie grossed $337 million and Oppenheimer, $175 million and has been regarded as a historical record breaking weekend.

Sofyan Amrabat included in the list of Man. United’s midfield target.

Manchester United are hoping to build on last season’s success, in a bid to fully revolutionize the club. Eric ten Hag’s first season has been filled with a host of positives and the board has been working on backing him this summer by getting his preferred targets. With the deals of Onana and Mason Mount completed, Manchester United are now working on completing the signing of Fiorentina’s midfielder, Sofyan Amrabat. The Moroccan midfielder is reported to have agreed personal terms with the club and will wait on both clubs to agree on a fee that will actualize the transfer. Samuel Chukwueze joins AC Milan on a permanent transfer.

Nigeria’s electric winger, Samuel Chukwueze has completed a move to AC Milan on a permanent transfer from Villarreal. This deal will see Villarreal receive around €20 million plus an additional €8 million on ad ons. Chukwueze is set to travel to Italy for his medicals and then signing the contract which will keep him at the club until 2028. Etching his name in the minds of most Villarreal fans, he will be remembered for always giving his 100% every time the club needed him.

This year’s Confederations of African Football Awards is now set to take place in Morocco this December and all eyes are focused on how the Men’s best player award will turn out. Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen had a superb season, spearheading Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years, winning the Italian golden boot. Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez is also in contention, as he was a pivotal player in Manchester City’s treble win.
