The Tribeca Film Festival, a yearly film festival and organized by the Tribeca Production, brings together, a range of audiences together to commemorate and showcase a wide range of films, as well as tv/video series’, music, talks, art, games and programming. With this festival being acclaimed as one of the world’s biggest events across all art forms, it seems as such a big feat that Jacob Krupnick’s film, Then Comes the Body has been selected to be premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival this June. This film comes after the popular video of kids dancing in the rain, which sheds a global spotlight on a ballet school in Lagos, Nigeria.

Warner Bros to halt direct to streaming.

With the losses accrued from recently released movies, American entertainment powerhouse, Warner Bros. has announced the strategic plan to shift from the direct to streaming releases and back to theater releases. This paradigm was said to have provided no value or return of investment for the company. The CEO, David Zaslav indicated that numerous released contents that have not been viewed. Vacation Friends 2, a sequel to the raw and raunchy comedy, Vacation Friends has been set for an exclusive summer premiere on Hulu. It features returning stars like Yvonne Orji, Lil Rel Howery, John Cena and Meredith Hagner. The original movie, which held the record for the biggest opening weekend in Hulu’s history until the release of Prey, explores the friendship between two families that takes an awkward turn upon returning from a vacation to Mexico. This sequel has thus been tipped to further thrill its audience with climaxing comedy.

However, the Bauchi State government and other state governments has come under immense scrutiny for not plugging the state’s tourism value into the successful show off of the northern region aesthetics which was propagated in the acclaimed Up North movie. Badamasi: Portrait of a General continues to thrill its audience.

Regarded as Nigeria’s first political biopic, Badamasi entailing the life of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, a former Nigerian military head of state. Written and directed by Obi Emelonye, the movie details the life of IBB, from joining the Nigerian army, up until his time as the military head of state. It also provides a narration of his humanity during the 1967-1970 Nigerian Civil War, where Babangida suffered immense physical injuries, in a bid to save his colleagues.
