The success of Barbie in the cinemas has been nothing short of remarkable. Released late in July, the movie has now grossed $1.6 billion worldwide, edging past Super Mario in the box office to become the new highest grossing movie released this year. With the exceptional efforts pumped into the marketing, it is unsurprising that Barbie has achieved this in a really short period. Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which shared a release date with Barbie, has also grossed over $850 million, making it the third highest grossing movie of 2023.

Despite Disney’s huge purchase of Fox, Deadpool was announced to stay unchanged and this implied the release of Deadpool 3. With the movie set to hit the cinemas on May 3rd, 2024, fans are excited about the release, especially since Ryan Reynold revealed with Hugh Jackman during the announcement clip that Marvel’s Wolverine character would be returning for the upcoming sequel. New reports have now suggested that Deadpool 3 would have over 200 minutes screen time. Surely, Marvel is about to rule the box office again with this release.
