Leonardo DiCaprio in Talks for Damien Chazelle’s Evel Knievel Biopic.
Hollywood star, Leonardo DiCaprio is in negotiations to star in Damien Chazelle’s next film, a biopic cantered on legendary stunt performer Evel Knievel. The film will reportedly focus on Knievel’s infamous failed attempt to jump the Snake River Canyon using a steam-powered rocket. According to Puck, filming could begin as early as this summer, ahead of DiCaprio’s planned collaborations with Martin Scorsese, including Devil in the White City and a newly announced Hawaii-set project. The latest script draft, originally penned by Terence Winter, is being revised by Chazelle. Knievel, born Robert Craig Knievel in 1938, gained fame in the 1970s for his daring motorcycle stunts and became a pop culture icon before passing away in 2007. DiCaprio, fresh off the highly acclaimed Killers of the Flower Moon, will next appear in Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another and is rumoured to star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in another Scorsese project.

Major studios set to compete for Martin Scorsese’s new crime film.
Netflix, Amazon, Apple, and Warner Bros. are reportedly in a bidding war for Martin Scorsese’s newly announced film, according to Puck News. Set in 1960s and 1970s Hawaii, the crime caper will star Dwayne Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Emily Blunt. The story follows a charismatic mob boss fighting rival syndicates and corporations for control of the island’s underworld while striving to protect his ancestral land. Scorsese is expected to choose the highest bidder, with streamers having the edge—Netflix currently leads the race. Blunt and Johnson initially conceived the idea and pitched it to Scorsese and DiCaprio, who enlisted Nick Bilton as the screenwriter. The film’s producers include the actors, Scorsese, Bilton, Dany Garcia, Lisa Frechette, and Rick Yorn.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 s been reportedly delayed to July 2026.
Per emerging reports, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4 is set to take a little longer to hit theatres, as Sony Pictures has pushed its release to July 31, 2026—one week later than originally planned. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi), the film remains untitled. The Universal film boasts a star-studded cast including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron. Zendaya’s return as MJ in Spider-Man 4 is still unconfirmed, but fans remain hopeful. The summer of 2026 will be packed with major releases, including Minions 3 (July 1), Moana (July 10), and Paw Patrol 3 (July 31). Holland’s busy schedule also includes a new Imitation Game adaptation and a racing film with Austin Butler, ensuring plenty of projects for his fans before Spider-Man 4 arrives.

Hunter Schafer arises concern over passport gender marker change.
Model and actress, Hunter Schafer revealed that her newly issued passport incorrectly lists her gender as male, despite selecting female during the application process. In an eight-minute video, the Euphoria star explained that while her driver’s license and passport were updated during her teenage years, she never changed her birth certificate. After recently losing her passport, Schafer, 26, applied for a replacement but was shocked to receive one with the wrong gender marker. She attributed this to a new executive order signed by President Trump last month, mandating that passports reflect an individual’s sex assigned at birth. Schafer referenced a 2017 policy restricting gender marker changes on passports, which she believes contributed to the issue. Previously, Americans could select “X” as a gender marker under President Biden’s administration. Schafer clarified that she shared her experience to raise awareness rather than incite fear or seek sympathy.
