He has been one of the most reliable sources in the rap industry, especially with the Drake-Kendrick Lamar feud. With great songs from both parties, this feud has without a doubt re-surged the hip hop genre. While fans and most critics alike have crowned Kendrick Lamar the winner of the beef, Akademiks has hinted at the possibility of getting new music from Drake soon. The streamer took to X to reveal that Drake is still locked in, telling fans to stay tuned. It remains unsure whether Drake will be continuing the feud with another diss record or a just summer bop.

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Cynthia Morgan has just been arrested by the police after being accused of cyberstalking by a Prince of Benin. A petition filed against the “German Juice” crooner has alleged a behavioural pattern of harassment, defamation, obsession, mental instability, threats, invasion of privacy and criminal offenses. With a series of screenshot private messages, many Nigerians have concluded that the two parties were romantically involved at a time, citing the case of heartbreak as a lead up to the cyberstalking incident.

Tiwa Savage reveals inspiration behind her new movie, “Water and Garri”.
The self-acclaimed African bad gyal, Tiwa Savage made her directorial debut with her new film, “Water and Garri”. During the pre-launch ceremony of the film at the Livespot Entertainment Centre on Thursday, Tiwa Savage disclosed that the idea of the movie was conceived while alone in her room. The multiple award winning Afrobeats star said, “I said it before, this is an idea I had in my head when I was drunk in my room and when I brought the idea to my amazing team, they didn’t make me feel stupid.” The movie has received major support from fans since its release.

Tyrese exits his show mid-performance after being allegedly served a lawsuit.
Hollywood star, Tyrese is facing a $10 million defamation and libel lawsuit from filmmaker, Bryan Barber who accused the “Fast and Furious” star of destroying his reputation during an interview on Breakfast Club. In a new report, Tyrese had to exit his Georgia show in the middle of his performance while allegedly trying to dodge being served legal papers. According to sources, the RnB singer was performing his hit song, “How You Gonna Act Like That” when he was informed of the presence of a process server at the event. He jumped off the stage and made his way to the exit while still singing and appreciating the crowd for being present at the show.

While K.Dot has emerged the winner of the rap beef with Drake, the hip hop genre has emerged the biggest winner of the feud. Kendrick Lamar’s scathing record, “Not Like Us” has claimed the number 1 spot on this week’s Billboard top 100 chart after 5 tracking days, marking Kendrick Lamar’s first ever solo record to go number 1 on the chart. The Compton rapper claims 2 other spots in the top 10 with “Euphoria” rising from number 11 to 3 on this week’s chart. Kendrick’s collaboration with Metro Boomin and Future, “Like That” moves to number 6 after spending multiple weeks atop of the chart. Drake’s diss record, “Family Matters” also debuts at number 7 on the chart, making it four hip hop records in the top 10.
