Rising RnB star, Muni Long has announced the tracklist for her upcoming album, Revenge, set to drop on August 30 via Def Jam Recordings. The album features 14 tracks, including the previously released singles “Made For Me,” “Make Me Forget,” and “Ruined Me.” Among the new songs, “Leave My Baby Tonight” features the rising rapper GloRilla. Both “Made For Me” and “Make Me Forget” have topped R&B radio charts and reached the summit of various Billboard charts. Revenge follows Long’s 2022 album, Public Displays of Affection: The Album, which featured the Grammy-winning hit “Hrs and Hrs.” Fans can look forward to a fresh collection of tracks showcasing Long’s signature style and collaborations.

Megan Thee Stallion to host the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

Houston rapper, Megan Thee Stallion will host the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, set for September 11 at UBS Arena in New York City. This will mark her first time hosting an awards show, though she has previously hosted “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. Megan Thee Stallion and SZA lead with five nominations each, including “Best Hip Hop” and “Best Collaboration” for her work with GloRilla. Taylor Swift tops the nominations with ten, followed by Post Malone with nine. Ariana Grande, Eminem, and Sabrina Carpenter each have six nods. While it’s unclear if Megan will perform, GloRilla, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, Rauw Alejandro, and Sabrina Carpenter are set to perform. Katy Perry will also perform after receiving the Video Vanguard Award.

Prime Videos releases trailer for the new Lord of the Rings prequel.

Warner Bros. has unveiled the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, an animated prequel set to be release on December 13. This film, set about 200 years before The Lord of the Rings, delves into the untold history of Helm Hammerhand, the former ruler of Rohan, voiced by Brian Cox. The plot centers on a bloody conflict between Rohan and the Dunlendings, sparked when a marriage alliance between Helm’s daughter, Hèra (voiced by Gaia Wise), and Dunland prince Wulf (Luke Pasqualino) collapses, resulting in the death of Wulf’s father, Freca (Shaun Dooley). Wulf’s ensuing war threatens Rohan’s survival, with Hèra emerging as a crucial figure. Miranda Otto returns as Éowyn, providing narration. Like Prime Video’s The Rings of Power, the film draws from J.R.R. Tolkien’s appendices.
