With the initial success of “Essence” in America, different Afrobeats songs have been taking huge strides in the country. One of these songs is Rema’s “Calm Down”. The song, which features star, Selena Gomes, has now sold 4 million RIAA copies in America, making the song certified 4 times platinum. The song joins Wizkid’s Essence and Clay’s “Love Nwantiti” as the only African songs to go platinum in the United States.
