Nigeria’s Falconets took the WAFU B U-20 tournament by storm, with a wining streak up until the finals. The team, which scored thirteen goals and conceded zero in the first stage before the final appearance, was in fact posed to emerge victorious in the tournament. However, this dream was cut short, as the team suffered a painful defeat to the host country, Ghana. The match saw both teams battle it out all through the regulation time and with a 1-1 draw, the game was decided on penalties. The host won the tournament on penalties.

Moving to Real Madrid after the 2018 World Cup, he was expected to take the league by storm. Unfortunately, his La Liga career was plagued by recurring injuries. With the rise of young players like Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo, Hazard became a less important player for the Champions League giant. Left with a year, his contract has however been terminated and he is now a free agent. He will be looking to pursue a resurgence in another league.

Joining former teammate, Neymar, in Paris St. German, hopes for clinching a champions league was rekindled. Despite the immense efforts however, Messi is set to leave PSG after fall out in contract talks. Numerous teams including Inter Miami, Al Hilal and Barcelona have reached out with offers to sign the star player, who is presently weighing his options. Reports however suggest that his future will be decided soon, with many European giants also tabling their best bids for him.
