The Saudi Arabia Professional League has undergone immense improvement over the last season, with most of the clubs investing in big players across Europe. In the last year, the league has been able to recruit some of the best players across Europe, including Ronaldo, Neymar, Sadio Mane and Benzema. Neymar, who left PSG for Al Hilal this summer, has in an interview praised the Saudi Pro league for its success in improvements its been making. He noted that the league was now better than the French league.

Messi has been at the pinnacle of his career for years and despite the age, he does not seem to be stopping. Since moving to Inter Miami, the Argentine has been immensely phenomenal, leading the club to its first trophy, whilst offering goal contributions in consecutive matches. Charlotte Defender, Scott Arfield has been full of praise for the player and when asked what it felt like defending Messi, he recounted Messi making him look silly. Perhaps, the greatest debate in the Premier league history, Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has been in the conversation of the English’s greatest midfielder with Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard and Chelsea’s Lampard. These players reached the tapestry of football, being very important to their clubs’ dominance. In a new interview, Scholes heaps praises on the Liverpool legend, noting that he would not have been able to do what Gerrard did at Liverpool. Nicholas Pepe set to sign with Turkish side, Trabzonspor despite Saudi interests.
Ivorian winger, Nicholas Pepe was predicted to light up the premier league after his £72 million move to Arsenal from Lille in 2019. With 27 goals in 112 appearances for the North London side, he has fallen short of the expectations set upon his arrival. The Gunners had reportedly tried to offload him to an undisclosed Saudi Arabian club but the winger rejected the offer. With his contract now set to be terminated, he will travel to Turkey to complete his move to Trabzonspor. Perhaps, this move will give his career a much needed resurgence.

Lamine Yamal becomes the youngest player to play for Spain’s senior team.
Barcelona’s protégé, Lamine Yamal has risen through the ranks over the last months, breaking into Barcelona’s first team and getting called up for his national team debut in a really short span of time. At age 16, he is now officially the youngest player to play for Spain’s national side. Capping this achievement with a goal on his debut game against Georgia, the 16 years old joins a league of other La Masia talents, Fati and Gavi, as the youngest players to score for Spain. There is no doubt that he would be a potentially pivotal player for both Barcelona and Spain in the future.
