The Saudi Arabian league has built a recent reputation for buying aging players across Europe. With the transfer of star players like Iniesta, Ronaldo, Benzema and Kante, the country is seeking to improve the global visibility of its football division. However, the UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin has criticized this scheme. According to him, Saudi Arabian clubs are making a huge mistake by signing players whose careers are past their peaks. He emphasized the importance of growing more viable schemes to develop the league instead.

The Golden boy awards is set aside to recognize incredible young players between the range of 17 to 23. European powerhouse, England, continues its winning streak in qualifying games. The team, which has been dubbed the most talented since the “golden age” team, has in different times, come close to ending England’s trophy drought. With consecutive losses in the 2018 World Cup Semi Finals and Euro 2022 Finals, the team is hoping to finally bring home the trophy. Arsenal in advanced talks for the signing of Lavia.
Romèo Lavia caught the attention of many European giants after his consistent bright performances over the last season. Despite Southampton’s relegation heartbreak, Lavia has been one of the breakout players. Nigeria qualifies for 2024 AFCON tournament with a game at hand.
The Super Eagles have been working to make up for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers heartbreak. With the recent appointment of Josè Peserio as the new manager of the national team, the team has shown glimpses of improvements from the defeat to Ghana. Despite having a game to spare, the Super Eagles’ 3-2 comeback win over Sierra Leone was enough to see Nigeria qualify for the coming African Cup of Nations. The team will be hoping to lift the trophy again, for the first time since 2013.
