French striker, Kolo Muani joins PSG in big money deadline move.
Kolo Muani is without a doubt, one of the most talented and sought after strikers across Europe right now. With a phenomenal performance with Eintracht Frankfurt last season, the Frenchman was also in the France team that qualified for the 2022 World Cup finals. It is no surprise that he attracted interests from big clubs like Manchester United and Paris Saint German. The striker, in a bid to force a move from the Bundesliga club, decided to skip trainings, leaving Frankfurt no choice but to accept the €90 million offer placed by PSG on the transfer deadline day. With Messi and Neymar gone, Kolo Muani will join other French forwards, Mbappe and Dembele to form PSG’s new attack line.

Champions League group stage draw for the 2023/2024 season completed.
The biggest club competition across Europe, the UEFA Champions League is now underway, with the new draw for the new season completed. This year’s edition, which took place in Monaco, already has dramatic group stage battles. Manchester United will open the competition with a visit to Bayern Munich. The group F, which includes Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund, PSG and AC Milan, has in fact presented itself as the group of death in the competition. Napoli and Real Madrid in the Group C also promises a eye catching battle. It has however been announced that from next season, 36 teams will compete in the tournament instead of the usual 32 and will rather take part in one league phase that includes all teams instead of the usual draws.

Manchester United add Sofyan Amrabat and Sergio Reguilon on deadline day.
Manchester United have concluded the transfer window on a remarkable note. Despite a good start to the season, winning two of their first three opening games, the Eric ten Hag side has had issues with the mobility of their midfield. Sofyan Amrabat, who has been on United’s radar since June, has finally been signed on the deadline day on loan from Fiorentina. Also, Shaw’s injury was confirmed to be a long term one, forcing the team into the market for a temporary replacement. They have also signed Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon on loan until June 2024.

Mason Greenwood completes loan move to Getafe after Lazio deal collapses.
With the rape and assault charges dropped, Mason Greenwood is expected to return to professional football. Following the six months private investigation enacted by United, the 21 years old forward mutually agreed to leave the club. This has now been actualized with his season long loan move to Spain, Getafe after the negotiations with Lazio collapsed. Manchester United will continue to support his career rebuild by paying a huge part of his wages during this loan spell.
