Afrobeats is hitting new strides, all thanks to the continued efforts of many Nigerian artists at propelling the sound across the globe. Mavin Records’ star, Rema has peaked on streaming platforms since the release of his hit song, “Calm Down”. The song, which features American pop singer, Selena Gomez, became the first Nigerian single to cross the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify. The record has just surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify, extending its lead as the most streamed Nigerian song of all time on Spotify.
