Oppenheimer and Succession win big at 2024 Golden Globes.
The 2024 Golden Globes awards was filled with big wins, with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and Succession being the biggest winners. Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr won best actor and supporting actor in a Drama Motion Picture respectively and Christopher Nolan won best director with Oppenheimer. Succession, with its final season claimed the most wins in the TV categories, winning four awards. Barbie won the new box office achievement award for its historical $1.4 billion box office worldwide gross income and Lily Gladstone Best actress in a Drama for her role in Killer of the Flower Moon.

The Weeknd teases new album which will complete his trilogy.
Canadian singer and songwriter, The Weeknd is getting ready for another album release. Known for his reputation for trilogies, he took to instagram to post the album covers of his last two projects, After Hours and Dawn FM, as well as a black slide with a huge question mark and a “3” caption, causing speculations for an imminent release to complete this trilogy. He went further to repost a fan page theory explaining the album themes to be pain, regrets and rebirth. Speaking on his forthcoming album in an interview, he explained that the project would probably be his last project as The Weeknd.

The band which was formed in 2005 spent 18 successive years in the music industry with major hits. Lead vocalist of the band, Bien-Aime Baraza has come out to explain the reason for the band’s breakup. According to him, it was the right time for them to pursue their personal endeavors. Baraka also noted that despite rumors of a potential rift between them, it was a peaceful breakup.

Ariana Grande announces release date for her seventh studio album.
American pop superstar, Ariana Grande is set return with a new album this year after a two year hiatus from the music scene. She confirmed on Wednesday via some social media posts that her seventh studio album, “Eternal” will be released on February 2. She also shared a series of photos of her in the studio, as well as a screenshot of her dancing and crying, captioning it “two moods of the album”. Fans have since expressed their elation over the prospect of the new album.
