Liverpool appeal Mac Allister “red card” in win against Bournemouth.
Liverpool’s new signing, Alexis Mac Allister started his Liverpool campaign on a high, in the draw against Chelsea. However, this was cut short in the team’s win against Bournemouth last weekend, after the Argentinian midfielder was sent off and suspended for his tackle on Ryan Christie in the 58th minute. This decision received an uproar from football fans who felt it was an overly harsh decision from the referee. Liverpool have now appealed to the FA’s Independent Regulatory Commission to remove the suspension.

Sha’Carri Richardson is the new women’s 100m world champion.
American track and field sprinter, Sha’Carri Richardson has just won the women’s 100m race in a record 10.65 seconds at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She beat two times gold medalist and last year’s winner, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson to clinch the gold medal. Running in the outside lane (9) and winning, she called this emblematic. Recall Sha’Carri was banned for a month for testing positive to cannabis during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics games. This is perhaps, the perfect way to rejuvenate her image.
