TikTok has developed into an elite platform for introducing new artistes to the music market. The platform has catalyzed the emergence of some of the biggest global songs over the years and Billboard, the world’s leading company for ranking music consumption continues to work on means to include these platforms for its music tractions. Billboard has just announced a collaboration with TikTok for a new chart. The Billboard TikTok top 50 chart will track the most popular songs on the platform in the United States every week. This definitely poses as a huge opportunity that will help introduce new artistes to the masses.

ODUMODUBLVCK officially signs exclusive deal with Def Jam Recordings.
One of Nigerian rising star, ODUMODUBLVCK has enjoyed a run of hits since signing with Native Records. The “Declan Rice” crooner who recently won two awards at the 2023 Headies Awards, has just signed an exclusive deal with popular American label, Def Jam Recordings and now joins Adekunle Gold as the only Nigerian artistes to be signed to the international label. Whilst we await the release of his new project, “Eziokwu”, this deal will without any doubt, help push his sound further up the global music market.

Wurld teases new collaboration with renowned producer, Sarz.
Popular Nigerian RnB/ soul singer and songwriter, Wurld has had a quiet year and with fans demanding for new music, he has just teased a new joint project with Sarz. The duo had earlier teamed up for a joint project in 2019, “I Live Girls with Trobul” which was well received by fans. The chemistry is set to be explored again with this new project and whilst the name of the project has not been revealed yet, the lead single, “Location” has been released.

Wizkid makes first public appearance since his mother’s death.
Global superstar, Wizkid lost his mother about a month ago and has remained out of social media. He has however now made a public appearance for the first time since the incident. The Starboy Label boss was seen attending the private view of Gabrielle Chanel Fashion Manifesto at the V&A, London on Wednesday. Fans have been quick to point out their pleasure at seeing the superstar being bubbly once more, whilst also wishing him a speedy recovery from the huge loss.

Jadon Sancho will temporarily remain on a personal training programme.
Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho fell out with team manager, Erik ten Hag after his social media reply to the manager’s criticism.
