17 year old Marc Guiu rose to the occasion to help Barcelona achieve a much needed 1-0 win in a crucial game against Athletic Club. Making his club debut and second match-day squad appearance, the striker immediately impacted the game, scoring a minute into his debut with his first touch. With this win, Barcelona have closed the gap on Real Madrid, ahead of the El Classico. Barcelona has been lauded for the constant integration of their youngsters. Vinicius Júnior has proven to be one of the best players across Europe over the last couple of years. Contributing enormous goals and assists for Real Madrid, he has well taken the role of the club’s most important player. Ajax part ways with head coach, Maurice Steijn after Utrecht loss.
Ajax have witnessed the worst start to a season in the club’s history. Losing out on the champions league spot and presently sitting 17th on the Eredivisie table, they have won only one out of seven league games. As a result of this dreadful situation, the Ajax board has decided to part ways with head coach, Maurice Steijn with immediate effect. Steijn joined the Dutch giant from Rotterdam in the summer after former coach, Alfred Schreuder was sacked due to poor performances. Assistant coach, Hedwiges Maduro will take charge of the club on an interim basis for the next two games, against Brighton and PSV.

World Cup winner, Antoine Griezmann is on fire this season, as he aims to win his first ever La Liga title. Presently second in the 20223/24 La Liga goal scoring tally with seven goals, Griezmann again proved his worth to the team, scoring a hat trick in Atlètico’s 3-0 win against Celta Vigo on Sunday. With this, the Frenchman edges forward in the list of goal scorers in Atlètico Madrid’s history. With 162 total goals, he is presently 8 goals away from overtaking Luis Aragones as the club’s all time highest goal scorer.
