Coming off a very successful 2022/2023 season, Arsenal signed Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya on loan to further boost their goalkeeping options and since breaking into the team, he has proven to be a phenomenal signing, keeping four premier league clean sheets and making numerous important saves to keep Arsenal’s title hopes alive. The North London giant have now decided to sign Raya permanently in 2024 for a guaranteed fee of £27 million. The goalkeeper had already signed the the long term contract and this structure was approved by Brentford to help Arsenal not breach the FFP rules.

Angel Di Maria set to retire from international football after Copa Amèrica.
Argentina winger, Angel Di Maria has announced that he will be retiring from international football after the 2024 Copa America. The 35 year old was an immensely important player in Argentina’s Copa America and World Cup wins. He played 134 games for Argentina and scored 29 goals, including goals in the Copa America and World Cup finals. In an interview with Todo Paso, Di Maria stated that after the 2024 competition, it would be over. He will not be a part of the team to defend the World Cup title in 2026.
