Anya Taylor-Joy to star in new Apple TV+ limited series, Lucky.
Academy Award winner, Anya Taylor-Joy will star in and executive produce the limited series Lucky for Apple TV+, based on Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel. The series follows a young woman, portrayed by Taylor-Joy, who left a life of crime behind years ago but must confront her darker past one final time in a desperate bid to escape. Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas are adapting the book and will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter will executive produce for Hello Sunshine, with Taylor-Joy producing through her Ladykiller Films banner. Lucky marks Taylor-Joy’s return to TV after her acclaimed role in The Queen’s Gambit, for which she won a Golden Globe and earned an Emmy nomination. She is also starring in the upcoming Apple Original Film, The Gorge. Apple Studios will produce the series.

17-year-old actor, Jack Veal, known for playing Kid Loki in Marvel’s Loki series, has gone viral after sharing a TikTok video detailing his struggles with homelessness. In the emotional clip, Veal revealed he is living in a broken-down trailer with no electricity, two hours from his workplace. He described a difficult upbringing marked by physical and emotional abuse, financial exploitation, and mental health challenges, including autism, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. “I’m a famous actor, I’m 17, and I’m homeless,” he stated, showing viewers his limited living conditions, including a makeshift bed and a power bank for his phone.
